The court may grant a dissolution in favor of one spouse if the other spouse:
- left the complaining spouse with the intention of abandonment; and
- remained away for at least one year.
This doesn’t apply if your spouse is active military and deployed. Abandonment is serious and it impacts everyone from the children to the grandparents.
Many times we are able to hunt down the deadbeat and start support almost immediately plus initiate the custody order. For a free consultation call my office at 210-338-8225 immediately.
